Acknowledgments T his conference was organized by the Minorities Affairs Committee of the American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB MAC). It is one of several activities aimed at broadening participation in research-related careers. Organization of the conference was executed by a Planning Committee comprised of standing ASCB MAC members and ad hoc members from the broader research community.
